Small business sales growth continues into the new year

The Fiserv Small Business Index gained 1 point, up to 147 in January.

Highlights:

• Sales growth YoY accelerated to +5.1%, was more moderate MoM (+0.5%)
• Transaction growth showed continued strength, +6.5% YoY and +1.3% MoM
• Consumer demands skewed more toward services, less toward goods
