Small business sales rise as back-to-school lifts retail

The Fiserv Small Business Index rose 1 point to 146 in September.

Highlights:

• Overall sales grew +2.2% YoY and +0.7% MoM
• Foot traffic fell -2.0% YoY and -0.2% MoM
• Retail sales grew +3.0% YoY and +1.3% MoM
