Small business sales grew steadily in March as higher ticket sizes offset softer foot traffic

The Fiserv Small Business Index increased 1 pt from February to 144.

Highlights:

• Overall sales grew +0.7% YoY and grew +1.3% MoM
• Foot traffic fell -1.3% YoY but grew +0.5% MoM 
• Retail sales grew +0.7% YoY and grew +1.2% MoM
