Small business sales grow year over year despite slower foot traffic

The Fiserv Small Business Index held steady at 145 in August.

Highlights:

• Overall sales grew +1.3% YoY but fell -0.2% MoM
• Foot traffic fell -1.8% YoY and -0.2% MoM
• Retail sales grew +0.6% YoY but fell -0.8% MoM
