Open Graph
Synopsis: Open Graph is a protocol that defines a set of rules that control how URLs are displayed when shared on social media platform. We have added these capabilities within AEM to allow for customization of the image, title and description that is displayed when a Fiserv.com URL is shared to a social platform. There is a default Open Graph setting that is defined at the template level, and this can be overwritten for any specific page on the page properties in AEM.
Scenario 1
Default Open Graph Image
Authoring Guide: A default Open Graph image for URL social sharing can be defined at the template level in AEM. To define the default image, select to Edit the template, and then select Page Policy. Under Page Policy, select Default Values and there you can apply an image in the OG Image field.
Scenario 2
Setting Open Graph Image at the Page Level
Authoring Guide:You can define a custom Open Graph image and description at the page level if you want to override the default. To update the Open Graph settings for a specific page, open the Page Properties and select the Open Graph tab. From there you can define a custom description (OG Description field) and image (OG Image field). Recommendation is to leave the Twitter Card field set to Summary and the OG Type field set to Article. When you define a custom description and/or image, this will overwrite the default template value when the page URL is shared.
