What to expect:
Attendees will learn more about the Fiserv Future Techies program while gaining insights into key areas of fintech, including app development and AI. And, since October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the lineup features experts protecting privacy and financial futures.
The agenda includes:
- Introduction to Cybersecurity: Learn from our Cyber security Team Shawn Nicolen, Director or Cybersecurity Operations and Padmini Jasapara, Director of Cyber and Tech Controls Assessment about critical measures protecting our money, credit cards and consumer information from fraud
- App Design Insights: Chris Hollander, Director of Data Science, shares his expertise on how effective app development contributes to security in financial applications

(Virtual) Fiserv Future Techies National Pitch Competition for finalists
Students are permitted to work in teams of no more than four. All team members must be from the same high school.

National Pitch Competition
High school and middle school students from across the nation will create innovative fintech solutions that address real-world challenges. Up to eight finalist teams will be selected to present their final projects applying critical thinking to reshape how money moves in our digital world.
A panel of Fiserv experts will determine who will receive the winning prizes and a $5,000 school grant for high school level and $2,500 for middle school level!

Define the problem
- Clearly explain the problem
- Include reasons why it matters and potential consequences
Prototype
- Create a well-developed prototype
- Show effort and use feedback to improve
Present
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Show understanding of your solution
STEAM and tech proficiency
- Demonstrate knowledge of STEAM and fintech concepts
Connection to Fiserv
- Show how your solution connects to Fiserv capabilities
Career exploration
- Highlight at least two careers related to your solution (for example, what team members would you need to hire to help run your company or build your fintech solution? Software Developer, UX designer, etc.)
- Explain how your project connects to those careers
