Every tap, swipe and click is powered by software, security and data — and by the people who build it. Fiserv Future Techies connects high school students to the technology moving money around the world.
Accepted students learn directly from Fiserv and Microsoft professionals through the Techie Track skill-building series (innovation, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, payments and career readiness) and a six-part GitHub webinar series led by Fiserv engineering leaders covering GitHub Copilot, Clover innovation, platform engineering, Advanced Security, fraud detection and data science, and the future of modern software delivery.
Students follow the six stages of the payment journey — cardholder app, merchant and acquirer technology, acquiring processor, network security, fraud detection and settlement — and use the Payment Journey to Careers map to explore more than 80 real Fiserv roles across technology, cybersecurity, operations, risk, finance, product, client services and data science.
The high school virtual skill building sessions builds toward the Fintech Challenges and National Pitch Competition. Teams choose one of four 2027 challenge tracks — Secure the Payment Journey, AI for Fraud Detection, Merchant & Checkout Innovation, or Open Innovation Built with Copilot — and build a working prototype with coaching from Fiserv engineers. Finalists present to a panel of Fiserv and Microsoft leaders, competing for national recognition and a grant for their school.
By 2031 there will be over one million new technology jobs. This program helps students picture themselves in one.

National Pitch Competition
High school and middle school students from across the nation will create innovative fintech solutions that address real-world challenges. Up to eight finalist teams will be selected to present their final projects applying critical thinking to reshape how money moves in our digital world.
A panel of Fiserv experts will determine who will receive the winning prizes and a school grant!

- Show how your solution connects to Fiserv capabilities
Career exploration
- Highlight at least two careers related to your solution (for example, what team members would you need to hire to help run your company or build your fintech solution? Software Developer, UX designer, etc.)
- Explain how your project connects to those careers
