How U.S. Bank addressed a key stress point for small business
The bank’s intuitive accounts payable solution integrates with business checking, and is powered by Fiserv
As small business owners manage their operations, they often have to juggle multiple digital solutions to manage invoices and pay their bills. Fiserv research from 2024 shows that nearly three-quarters of small business owners feel cash flow management and invoice/bill payment are ongoing pain points for their enterprises.*
U.S. Bank, a Minneapolis-based, super-regional institution that serves more than 1.4 million small business clients, responded to this need by launching U.S. Bank bill pay for business, a powerful, all-in-one cash flow management platform. The new service is powered by CashFlow Central™ from Fiserv, an integrated small business payments solution for financial institutions.
The initiative was driven partly by the bank’s own market research.** Nine in 10 of the business owners the bank surveyed said the ability to centralize all bills and invoices into a single process is important to them. That’s what U.S. Bank bill pay for business is designed to provide – a comprehensive accounts payable solution with streamlined cash flow management, enhanced bill pay capabilities, flexible payment options and the ability to easily sync with accounting software.
What’s more, the new offering integrates seamlessly with U.S. Bank’s existing online banking platform. The accounts payable solution comes as a value-added feature for new users with every U.S. Bank business checking account, providing a one-stop hub where small business owners can manage their finances in less time, with less hassle and with more confidence.
