Recent studies show that debit, credit and prepaid card use among consumers is more prevalent than ever – not just for shopping and restaurants, but for paying bills, as well. The annual growth rate of credit card use for bill payments over the past two years has increased 15.2 percent versus a 9.7 percent increase for ACH usage, according to the Direct Payments for Bill Pay Study conducted by Blueflame Consulting for NACHA in 2013.
