Allied Irish Bank Case Study: Celent Model Bank Winner for Payments Replatforming

Read how Allied Irish Bank (AIB) implemented an efficient and modern architecture with one consolidated payment engine processing all payment types, making it simpler to support, cheaper and faster to implement change, and strategically position the bank for new payment initiatives.

AIB had three payment platforms, all of which had some issues or limitations. After an independent review, the bank decided to undertake the Payments Transformation Programme and replace the platforms with a single payments services hub, one of the largest projects undertaken by the bank in recent years.

The Enterprise Payments Platform from Fiserv (formerly Dovetail Payments) provided AIB with the technology to realize the vision of a singular payment hub – processing all payment types in real time, including wire/high-value, ACH and instant payments, all on one platform, with full multi-currency and multi-entity capabilities.
