Mobility
We believe “away from” is the new global position, and we’re making it easier than ever to take care of financial business while on the move.
To give financial consumers and businesses what they need, you have to think outside the bank or credit union. How can you more effectively provide financial services where and when the customer needs them most?
Let’s say Beth is close to overdrawing on her account. Can you let her know before she tries to buy that new pair of shoes?
Fiserv is taking traditional financial services and putting them closer to the “point of need.” By leveraging digital channels, we are enabling consumers and small businesses to send money, receive money, get information, send information and make financial decisions in ways never before possible.
So while Beth is out and about, she’ll get a text notice from her bank: The last check she wrote will exceed her current balance, and would she like to cancel it? She clicks “OK.” Overdraw averted. Next, she goes into her bank’s mobile banking app and transfers money from savings to checking to ensure needed funds are available. And while she’s at it, she goes ahead and pays the electric and water bills to get those payments out of the way before she’s tempted to blow her balance on the latest pair of Jimmy Choo shoes.
Mobiliti™ from Fiserv (the combination of Mobile Money™ from Fiserv and BankAnywhere™ from M-Com) was the first in the industry to offer “triple play” mobile banking – enabling access via text, browser and mobile application. More than 375 banks and credit unions are now live on the solution or close to it, and the number of consumers using the service increased 600 percent in a six month period.
Evidently we struck a chord: Mobile banking and remote bill payment, delivered where and how consumers need it.
We’re not done.
Watch for contactless mobile payments, alerts via social media, and more capabilities that will innovate how relationships, money and information come together.
